We have updated the Floorp Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We have organized the explanations of data handling and terms of use for Floorp for Desktop, Floorp for iOS, the official website, and the blog, with short overviews and tables of contents.

The main changes are:

  • Browser data and Sync: We distinguish data kept on your device from data processed through Mozilla Account and Sync. We include data from Sync-enabled features, using notes in Floorp Notes and, where available, content saved in Floorp Clips as examples. The actual data depends on the product, version, settings, and available features. We also explain that available iOS Sync categories are enabled by default after sign-in.
  • iOS disclosures: We retain the 17 App Store data types and their purposes, and explain Sync-content encryption and Floorp's disabled telemetry and crash-report upload paths. Mozilla Account service-operation and diagnostic data are explained separately.
  • Website and blog advertising: We describe Google AdSense, advertising cookies, personalization, and links for consent and advertising choices.
  • External links and content: We distinguish ordinary links to external sites from images, videos, and other content loaded within a page. Links to YouTube and images hosted on Imgur are examples; externally hosted content may contact its provider before you follow an external link.
  • Contact: You can use contact@floorp.app for privacy questions and requests concerning information controlled by Floorp Projects.
  • Terms and operator: We identify Floorp Projects as a sole proprietorship operated by Ryosuke Asano and clarify the products and sites covered, external services, warranties, and liability. Your rights under open-source licenses and your mandatory consumer rights are preserved.
  • Changes to the Terms and consent: We explain our approach to advance notice of important changes and obtaining individual consent where required. Examples include enrolling in paid features, changes to users' obligations or rights, new uses or recipients of personal information, and advertising cookies. These examples explain what would happen if such features or changes were introduced; they do not announce plans to introduce them.

This wording update does not enable telemetry or change your Sync or advertising settings. Listing a data type does not mean it is collected from every user at all times. Processing depends on the product, features, and settings you use.

The iOS app's no-tracking disclosure and advertising on the website and blog cover different activities. Read the full policy for the relevant providers, settings, and deletion options.

Publishing the Terms or continuing to use Floorp does not replace any separately required consent. Agreement to the Terms is also separate from consent required for advertising or other data processing. Read the full Terms, especially “Changes to these Terms and consent,” for details.
