v12.3.0 - v12.3.5 Release Notes

Big Changes ​

  • Now, all installer uses x86_64 name instead of amd64.
    • floorp-win64.installer.exe -> floorp-windows-x86_64.installer.exe
    • floorp-linux-amd64.tar.xz -> floorp-linux-x86_64.tar.xz

Following this changes, portable version users need to download the new portable version file.

✨ New features ​

  • Locker gesture added!
    • You can enable Locker Gesture from settings to perform simple "Back" and "Forward" actions using the left and right mouse buttons. For example, holding the left button while clicking the right button will perform "Back", and holding the right button while clicking the left button will perform "Forward".
  • Manage and switch workspaces from the panel sidebar
    • The panel sidebar now allows managing and switching workspaces. This makes it easy to switch between multiple workspaces with a single click.
    • Users who upgraded from Floorp 11 and had this enabled previously will have it enabled by default. You can disable it from settings if needed.
  • Workspace switching via mouse gestures and keyboard shortcuts
    • Workspace switching actions are now available via mouse gestures and keyboard shortcuts, improving workflow efficiency.
  • New tab layout options
    • Added options to customize the layout used when opening new tabs. By default it follows Firefox's layout, but you can change it in settings.

✖ Bug fixes ​

  • Some strings were not translated in certain areas.
  • Fixed an issue where tab colors were not displayed correctly in the Proton theme.
  • Various other bug fixes and stability improvements.

  • @NyanRus Floorp is now based on Noraneko 0.2.0. This change includes significant contributions from NyanRus.

  • Fixed issues related to UI localization in Floorp.

12.3.2 changes ​

  • Fixed workspace container not functioning.
  • Fixed issue where Floorp failed to remember the final placement of buttons implemented by Floorp (such as workspace buttons).

12.3.3 changes ​

  • Fixed issue with the placement of the "Reopen Closed Tab" button.
  • Fixed behavior when the navigation bar is placed at the bottom.

12.3.4 changes ​

  • PPA version of Floorp 12 is now available for Ubuntu and its derivatives.
  • On enabling the "Multi-row Tab Bar" feature, bookmarks toolbar will not collapse anymore.
  • Remove "hide unified extension button" option from settings. It available in Firefox natively now.
  • Fix scrolling issues on Lepton theme.
  • fix undo close tab button not working in some cases.
  • Various other bug fixes and improvements.

12.3.5 changes ​

  • Fixed an issue where the hidden/disabled state of the panel sidebar was not carried over when updating from Floorp 11.
  • Fixed an issue in the PPA version where upgrades were delayed for a short time due to a cache issue.
