⭐️ New Features

Sidebar overlay and hover controls

The sidebar settings in Floorp Hub now include Display over the page and Open on mouse hover. You can open a sidebar without changing the website's size.

For the Panel Sidebar, hover over a panel icon to preview it, or click to pin it open. For the Firefox Sidebar, hover over the screen edge on the sidebar's side to open the last selected tool, or click the edge to pin it. Enabling hover also enables overlay mode.

Customize the command palette

We added a command-palette settings page to Floorp Hub. Adjust its size, position and font size, choose whether tabs, bookmarks and history appear in suggestions, and configure category priorities and result limits.

You can also assign your own @prefix to a command. @s (web search), @t (tab search), @b (bookmark search) and @h (history search) are reserved search shortcuts. Change the palette's launch key in the keyboard-shortcut settings.

Save Notes as Markdown files

Use the export button in Floorp Notes to save the selected note as a .md file. Headings, lists, quotations, code and images are converted to Markdown. Underlining is saved as HTML; text alignment is not retained.

🧪 Floorp Flasco

  • Context-menu customization is available through Flasco.

This experimental feature lets you hide or reorder browser right-click menu items. Share one layout across contexts such as pages, links, images and selected text, or save an independent layout for each context.

The settings are automatically offered to 50% of profiles using the default Flasco participation policy. Existing participation preferences and manual enrollment continue to apply.

To enroll manually, open about:hub#/about/updates, find the feature under Available Flascos and choose Enroll. When this feature is enabled in your environment, open Context Menus in Floorp Hub, enable customization, and select a menu and context to edit. In the Current context view, use drag and drop, the arrow buttons or Move to… to change item positions.

Website menus, extension-owned items and some protected entries retain their own behavior. Turning customization off restores the original menus while keeping your saved settings. Reset an individual layout or all context menus to return them to their defaults. If a participation change hides the settings page, layouts you have already enabled remain active.

This feature is experimental. The settings page appears according to Flasco availability and participation.

🔄 Changes

Updated to Firefox 157.0.1

Floorp's Firefox base has been updated from 157.0 to 157.0.1.

Control tab buttons and indicators

UI Extensions now includes individual settings to hide tab close buttons, audio indicators, camera/microphone/screen-sharing indicators, Note icons and attention indicators.

Sharing status remains available in the address bar when its tab indicator is hidden. Hiding the audio indicator does not hide the crash indicator.

⚠️ Bug Fixes

Fixed mobile requests in Web Panels

We fixed an issue where a Web Panel could still send a desktop User-Agent after mobile mode was enabled. The mobile User-Agent now applies to the selected panel's requests while preserving requests from regular tabs and other panels.

Fixed experimental native macOS Web Apps

We fixed right-click events failing to reach a page's content process correctly and crashing the page in Web Apps using the native App Shim. Native input and rendering fixes are also included in the newly compiled Runtime.

App Shim is an experimental feature already being tested with 20% of macOS users through Floorp Flasco. Regular Web App features remain available. Existing native Web Apps do not automatically refresh their Shim executable; reinstall an existing app to receive the Shim-side input improvements.

Linux Web Apps

KDE Plasma / KWin Wayland users have reported that a Web App can display the Floorp icon even when its unique app identity is correct. We have not confirmed a fix in this release. Follow Issue #2800 for the investigation.
